What's Happening in L10
Social Studies, Language Arts and Gardening: Our class has headed into spring with an exploration of the work and life of Beatrix Potter. After reading the classic Tale of Peter Rabbit, students reimagined the story to create their own "new" tales using storyboarding.
Word Study: Through a variety of games and activities, students are practicing identifying and applying long vowel spelling patterns.
Math: Students are practicing using an analog clock to tell time and thinking about their experience with time. They put their daily routines on a timeline entitled "A Day in the Life of Me." We are also beginning to cycle back to problem-solving strategies and repeated practice with addition and subtraction, both as a yearly review and to deepen understanding of computational thinking.
